Our Story

Narrative form, in the voice and style of Juan and Sarah and organized around 3 parts (roughly 500 words):

1) What’s our mission at Misfit?

At Misfit Outpost, we aim to... Or, you could open with something like, “Since we opened in 2020, our desire at Misfit Outpost has been to...”

2) What about the beer?

We have often been asked the question, “is brewing more art or science?” Which is it? Don’t just talk about the beer — Talk about the approach to brewing and serving beer the taproom. Answer the questions: Is there a rhyme or reason for your current taplist? Why these brews, specifically? Mention important collaborations that we can link to blog posts about.

3) Who are Sarah and Juan?

Answer the personal questions that will connect people to you: What are your personal backgrounds and/or interests. When did you start brewing? When and how did you know you wanted to brew great beer together? What are your fave styles of beer? Who does what at the brewery? What hats are worn and who wears them the most/best?
